Today is the 38th anniversary of Roe Vs. Wade. Since then, more than 53,000,000 innocent human beings have lost their lives in the name of choice.

I’m Not A Looney!!!

It’s time to leave behind my honeymoon bliss and get back to the real world.

I’m getting extremely annoyed with Obama and his ilk twisting the arguments of  people like myself who disagree with the proposed health care “reform” bills. The entire purpose of the twisting is to make us look like the loonies they are telling the American people we are. Every argument we bring forth, they twist and twist, and apply to parts of the bill we were not talking about in order to discredit the arguments. So here is my rebuttal to that, and reiteration of the arguments I feel show why these bills are bad for the US.

1. Abortion

The argument we have made is that the bills proposed at this time would allow taxpayer money to fund abortions. The way it has been twisted: “These people want you to believe that we would MANDATE abortion.”

NO PERSON HAS SAID THIS!!!!

The original argument is sound, although you will here many proponents of the bills say that there is no provisions for abortions anywhere in the bills. That too is true- only many administrative and judicial decisions have said that in public health care programs, unless the funding of abortions are specifically prohibited, it is a medical procedure that must therefore be covered under the program. The Demsknow this, and they have thrown down several amendments that would have prohibited them, including one by Freshman LA congressman John Fleming.

2. Death Panels

Sarah Palin originated this phrase in a facebook message, and Obamahas mischaracterised it to the extreme, so let me explain.

Eventually there will have to be a discussion about the exact implementation of the plan, including what services will be covered and which will not be. Also, since the whole “purpose” of this bill is to cut cost, that means that benefits will have to be cut- leading to cuts in services and treatment. Eventually there is going to have to be some sort panel, or board, or whatever you want to call it, that will determine whether or not a person suffering from a chronic illness is worth the cost of keeping them alive if they cannot be treated. THIS IS WHAT PALIN WAS TALKING ABOUT!

3. Euthanasia

The bill provides funds to promote counseling for the elderly of “end of life issues,” which is a step towards allowing assisted suicide and euthanasia in America. Obama has twisted this one into a mandate on euthanasia.

Cross apply the arguments from the “death panels” and you see the problem with this. THE GOVERNMENT IS NOT GOING TO PAY THE $20,000 A DAY IT COST TO KEEP A PERSON ON LIFE SUPPORT!!! THEY ARE NOT GOING TO PAY FOR A TERMINALLY ILL PATIENT TO GET TREATMENT FOR SECONDARY ILLNESSES! This is just common sense!

4. Cutting Medicare

We have said that they will cut medicare, but Obama has said as recently as yesterday that there will be NO cuts to medicare, and that the AARP endorses his plan.

FACT CHECK: The bill calls for $500 BILLION in cuts to Medicare, which is already underfunded, I have this knowledge FIRST HAND from a meeting with LA Senator David Vitter! Also just breaking, AARP has blasted back at Obama saying that they HAVE NOT ENDORSED THE HEALTH CARE BILL!!!!

I know there a lot of other important arguments out there, but my hands are crmaping, so I’ll get to those later.
