Open Message to “Occupy Wall Street”

Dear Occupy Wall Street:

GROW UP!

Hi, my name is Deanna. I work hard and go to school. I’m paying a lot of money for school because I want to better myself. I work hard at my job because I believe the American Dream is earned, not given by the government. I take out student loans, and I understand why they need to be paid back. I went two years without health care and didn’t complain. I live within my means and do not blame any one else for any debt that I accrue. I am in the Tea Party. I do not get paid for that, I do not quit my job to participate. I do not call for violence or violate the law in my protest. I do not violate property rights. I know what I believe in:

God

The Sanctity Of Life

A Small Government

Low Taxes

Hard Work

I don’t expect anyone to give me things for free. I don’t think the government is my sugar daddy. I might fall in the category of “poor” but I do not blame wall street, and I know that increasing taxes on the people who create jobs in this country will NOT CREATE JOBS!

So I have some advice for you:

Go Home

Take a Shower

Go to class

Get a Job

Get off your butt

Work Hard

GROW UP AND STOP BLAMING EVERYONE ELSE FOR YOUR PROBLEMS!!!!!!

Vote 2010

Two years ago I wrote the following

So I just wanted to remind everyone that the fight for American values is not over, rather it has just begun. We can not give up hope, we must stand together stronger than ever. All that is required for evil to prosper is for good men (and women) to do nothing. So do something! Keep your voice, shares your values, stand up for what is right, no matter how hard it gets.

And you guys did NOT disappoint! Two years later and the Tea Party has blossomed, launching a new generation of conservatives into the public spotlight; Republicans will take over the House by midnight, and might take over the Senate as well! Gubernatorial races are running strong red and things are looking bright indeed for the future of our nation!

But it still isn’t over- YOU MUST GO VOTE!

Hundreds of thousands of brave men and women have died so that you could cast your ballot. So go vote, and PLEASE- vote CONSERVATIVE!!!!

Mauling Memorial Day

In 2008 I had the honor of being present at the Memorial Day service at Arlington National Cemetary, and it was one of the most heart wrenching experiences I have ever had. Surrounded by families of the fallen, watching President Bush lay a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, as TAPS played… it still brings tears to my eyes.

This year will be different- our President will not be at Arlington to honor the fallen men and women who gave their “last full measure of devotion” to their country. He will not look into the eyes of the families and friends of those who died to protect our country, to preserve our freedom. He will not listen to TAPS, or lay a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. No, Obama has decided to skip Memorial Day in order to go home to Chicago.

This is unacceptable, this is a slap in the face to the brave men and women who day after day put their lives on the line for you, for me, AND for him. And instead of honoring them properly, he is leaving D.C. to go visit friends from the dirty Chicago political machine.

The Gold Star families, who have lost their sons and daughters overseas deserve better, they deserve a President who appreciates the sacrifice that their precious children made on his behalf. They deserve to be looked in the eyes and told how much they mean to the people of this great nation.

But Obama doesn’t honor these men and women- these sons and daughters, moms and dads, brothers and sisters, these loved ones that laid down their lives. Instead of honoring them, he goes around APOLOGIZING for them. Instead of paying homage to these amazing men and women, he makes their sacrifices and courage out to be “arrogance” and “empire building.”

As a grand-daughter of a Marine that barely survived the battle of the Chosin Reservoir, and as a sister of an Airman fighting in the Middle East right now, it’s the final straw. I never liked him, but now I officially DESPISE him.

His blatant disrespect for our Armed Forces and the valiant men and women who DIE every day so that you and I can be free, takes away any respect due to him as President. I will never again honor him with that title, he doesn’t deserve it, he is a traitor to our brave men and women. From now on he will be Mr. Obama to me.

And Mr. Obama- I can’t wait till 2012 when I can vote for someone who actually DESERVES the title of the President of The United States!

Here Come The Czars

Sarah Palin wasn’t kidding when she said she could see Russia from her house. You can too. Just turn on the news and listen to the talking heads chatter about the “czars.”

Historically, the “czar” was the supreme ruler of Russia. The word was derived from the Latin term “Caesar.” The literal translation is “one with great power or authority.”

In American politics the term has come to represent a high ranking presidential appointee who does not always have to face Senate confirmation. Despite this, they still have an important impact on White House policy.

Reagan started this trend with the “Drug Czar,” and since then it has ballooned under Obama to consist somewhere between 24- 34 czars. Everything has a czar, from the “AIDs Czar” to the “WMD Czar.”

Since many of these czars do not have to be confirmed by the Senate, several radical left-wingers have made it onto the government payroll.

Take “Green Jobs Czar” Van Jones, who is a self-avowed Communist with ties to the Weather Underground, a known domestic terrorism organization. Jones also signed a petition calling for investigations into government involvement in the Sept. 11 attacks. After FOX News commentator Glenn Beck brought his past to light, Jones resigned.

“Science Czar” John Holdren coauthored a textbook that suggested compulsory abortion would be permissible under the United States Constitution. Holdren also has lobbied for global taxes on green house gasses, including human emitted carbon dioxide.

And what about “Regulation Czar” Cass Sunstien, who has called for animals to be allowed the right to sue humans? Hunting is a way of life in the South, but not if Sunstien has his way. He has called for an end to all hunting. He also said in a 1993 book that the government should pay for abortions, even though many taxpayers have moral problems with the practice.

Finally, we get to the “Federal Communications Commission Diversity Czar” Mark Lloyd. Aside from praising dictator Hugo Chavez, Lloyd supported government run news and regulations and taxes on private companies that would help fund their competition, for “fairness” of course. He has also stated that white radio executives should be forced to step down in favor of minorities, such as “blacks and gays.”

So have the czars gone too far? Are these the people who you want making policies that will govern your news, jobs, textbooks and life in general?

These radical liberals should be ridiculed for their ignorance of the Constitution, not offered powerful government positions with little or no oversight.

The Russians had 18 Czars over 300 years. We’ve had more czars than that in the past nine months, but history repeats itself.

A revolution freed the Russian citizens from tyranny.

I only hope we don’t have to wait 300 years. 2010 sounds good to me.

Have you Forgotten?

On September 11, 2001, President Bush offered these words:
“Today, our fellow citizens, our way of life, our very freedom came under attack in a series of deliberate and deadly terrorist acts. The victims were in airplanes or in their offices: secretaries, business men and women, military and federal workers, moms and dads, friends and neighbors. Thousands of lives were suddenly ended by evil, despicable acts of terror. The pictures of airplanes flying into buildings, fires burning, huge structures collapsing, have filed us with disbelief, terrible sadness, and a quiet, unyielding anger. “

It was with this quiet and unyielding anger that Congress approved “The War on Terror”. Seven years later, and all I hear is people complaining and protesting this war. What happened to our anger? What happened to wanting justice for the men and women who didn’t know that September 11 would be their last? People decry the loss of American soldiers, yet they seek to render the cause they died for pointless; they want us to give up.

President Bush ended his speech with this, “This is a day when all Americans from every walk of life unite in our resolve for justice and peace. America has stood down enemies before, and we will do so now. None of us will ever forget this day, yet we go forward to defend freedom, and all that is good and just in our world.”

I look at our country today asking, have you forgotten? …I haven’t. God Bless America

Dear God,

Hey God, it’s me Deanna… so tomorrow is election day, and I’m nervous about the out come. I’m trying very hard to leave this in your hands, but I can’t help but wonder what will happen.

I just wanted to pray for everything to go the way it needs to for your ultimate purposes… I know who I am voting for, but only you can control what will happen to America over the next four years.

Please God, let your followers remember your word tomorrow when they vote, and that they would vote in accordance with your laws and teachings. I pray that they will not be swayed by lies, persuasive appeals, or any other means from the Truth of the gospel. Let them not vote based on anything other than your words.

Whoever wins tomorrow, I will follow your word, and pray for them, that you alone will direct their ways, and the way of our nation. I know I will be unhappy if the candidate I support loses, but I trust you to make things work out the way they need to.

Lord, comfort Obama and his family during this time of great loss and tragedy. I sincerely hope his Grandmother is with you right now, and that his family can take comfort in that thought. Help them to overcome this hardship, and rely on you alone.

Please keep our country safe, and bless all of the many candidates with your protection and love, whether they acknowledge it or not. Keep America safe, and one nation under You. Protect us all, from the richest, to the poorest; from the oldest, to those yet unborn; from me here safe at home, to our soldiers overseas.

Most of all, I ask you to humble my heart no matter what the outcome tomorrow… help me to put aside politics to better serve you, and your wishes for my country. Help me to support our leaders with prayer, and kind thoughts despite disagreements we are sure to have.

Dear Mr. Obama,

Today I watched the most powerful and convincing thing I have ever seen in regards to this election. It is from a veteran of the Iraq War… please watch the video!!!!

Dear Mr. Obama, having spent 12 months in the Iraq theater, I can promise you, this was not a mistake. I witnessed firsthand the many sacrifices made by the people of Iraq. Those sacrifices were not mistakes. Iraqi people are just like us. They want a chance to live in a secure world, free from tyranny, free from terrorism, free to prosper, free to raise their children and pass on a future. Are they better off today than they were in 2002? You bet. I’ve seen many men sacrifice their lives for the Iraqi people. They died for a purpose, not a mistake. They died giving hope, they died promoting freedom. Do you rescue a fireman just as he’s about to save a child? When you call the Iraqi war a mistake, you disrespect the service and the sacrifice of everyone who has died promoting freedom. Freedom carries with it a price. Because you do not understand, nor appreciate these principles, sir, I am supporting John McCain for president. He, too, made a huge sacrifice promoting freedom, because he understands the fundamental truth, freedom is always worth the price.
